The use of herbicides and better cereal seed cleaning have turned this common ‘weed’ into a rarely seen wild flower. It’s a shame, so why not grow your own in an informal area of the garden. Very pretty grown with those other cornfield ‘weeds’ corn cockle and field poppy. Unusual cut flowers. Countryside charm.
