It is a dwarf species of horticultural varieties bred in the Netherlands. Miyama shikimi(Scientific name:Skimmia japonica) went overseas and improved and became a gardening variety called Skimmia White glove. The green buds turn into white flowers after January and make the flowers bloom until spring. The flower is fragrant with 4 petals. A red fruit is formed after the flower.
