Only a few eucalyptus species are reliably hardy, and of these Eucalyptus gunnii is the most popular. Like many eucalyptus, it’s grown mostly for its lush, rounded juvenile foliage, well-loved by flower arrangers. The Royal Horticultural Society has given it its prestigious Award of Garden Merit (AGM).
Grow Eucalyptus gunnii in moist but well-drained soil in a sheltered site. Prune hard annually to maintain its small habit and juvenile foliage.
